The Florida Bar’s Winter Meeting will be held virtually
In consideration for the safety of Florida Bar members and staff during the pandemic, all the individual meetings scheduled during the Bar’s Winter Meeting will be held virtually.
Originally slated for January 26-29 at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, the Winter Meeting is being re-tooled so that scheduled events can be held virtually or remotely.
“Due to the rising COVID-19 numbers in Florida and our concern for the safety of our members, Bar leadership and staff have decided that The Florida Bar Winter Meeting . . . would be best held virtually,” President Mike Tanner wrote in an email to section and committee leaders January 5. “We have had increased experience with virtual meetings, especially with the success of our most recent virtual Fall Meeting, and I have confidence that the work of the committees and sections can be conducted without interruption using digital resources.”
For those that have made hotel reservations for the Winter Meeting in Orlando at Rosen Shingle Creek, those will be automatically canceled.
The Winter Meeting schedule will be updated and posted on the Winter Meeting page with the meeting method (Zoom, Teams, conference call, etc.).
