The Supreme Court Committee on Standard Jury Instructions in Criminal Cases has an opening
The Supreme Court Committee on Standard Jury Instructions in Criminal Cases is accepting applications for membership on the committee. At present, there is one position open for a lawyer who represents the government in criminal cases.
The committee is charged with updating the criminal jury instructions based on changes made to Florida statutes and opinions issued by the Florida district courts of appeal, the Florida Supreme Court, or the U.S. Supreme Court. All appointments are made by the Chief Justice.
An application form for membership can be found at the following website: https://jury.flcourts.org/criminal-jury-instructions-home/committee-members/
The deadline for submission of an application is November 30. Individuals who have previously submitted an application and are interested in serving should reapply. All interested parties are requested to submit a cover letter along with the application via email to Bart Schneider, Committee Staff Liaison, at [email protected].
