Three appointed to Executive Committee

The Bar Board of Governors has appointed three of its members to the Bar’s Executive Committee for the 2012-13 fiscal year, completing the makeup of that panel.

The Executive Committee is empowered to act for the board between its bi-monthly meetings. Members of the committee are the president, president-elect, chairs of the Budget, Legislation, Communications, and Disciplinary Review committees, Young Lawyers Division president, two board members of the board selected by the president, and three board members selected by the board.

The board in May elected governors Ray Abadin, David Prather, and Ed Scales to serve on the board. They join incoming President Gwynne Young, incoming President-elect Eugene Pettis, Budget Committee Chair Lanse Scriven, Disciplinary Review Committee Chair Michael Higer, Communications Committee Chair Mary Ann Morgan, Legislation Committee Chair Laird Lile, and YLD President Paige Greenlee. Board members Brian Burgoon and Sandra Diamond were appointed by Young to the committee.
