Tiffany Escobar named president of the Colombian American Bar Association

Tiffany Escobar of Your Immigration Attorney, PLLC, has been named president of the Colombian American Bar Association (COLBAR), representing more than 200 attorneys, judges, and legal professionals in South Florida.
Under Escobar’s leadership, COLBAR will continues to expand its service-driven initiatives, including its monthly “Sábado Consular” program hosted at the Colombian Consulate in Coral Gables, where volunteer attorneys provide free legal consultations to members of the community. The organization also produces Continuing Legal Education programs focused on ethics and professional responsibility, frequently hosted by members of the judiciary.

Founded to promote professional excellence, mentorship, and service, COLBAR has been formally recognized by the Consulate General of Colombia in Coral Gables, which honored the organization with a Colombian flag. The organization is also the recipient of the Florida Supreme Court Pro Bono Service Award (2024) for its ongoing commitment to community legal service.
Escobar earned her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law, where she co-founded the Colombian American Student Bar Association and received the CALI Book Award in Admiralty Law. During law school, she served in the Human Trafficking Unit of the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office as a Certified Legal Intern. She holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Florida International University.
In addition to her work with COLBAR, Escobar serves on The Florida Bar Journal & News Editorial Board.
