TJ Reddick Bar Association takes up mental-health issues
THE TJ REDDICK BAR ASSOCIATION recently heard from William “Bill” Mulligan, Florida Bar discipline counsel in Ft. Lauderdale, and Molly Paris, assistant director of Florida Lawyers Assistance, Inc., about how mental health can affect your practice. Mulligan discussed the Bar’s discipline process and how the failure to take care of your mental health can lead to issues with substance abuse, criminal activity, trust account violations, and more. Paris informed the association about the work of FLA, including how to obtain confidential help without the involvement of The Florida Bar. She also discussed how to handle stress and anxiety, alcohol use and addiction, and suicide prevention. From the left are Judy R.
