YLD’s second Virtual Summit ‘Mastering the Practice of Law’ set for April 25
The 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. event is a free half-day conference where attendees may select from 11 different CLE options to attend throughout the day
Chief Justice Carlos Muñiz and Justice John Couriel will discuss professionalism April 25 at the Young Lawyers Division’s second Virtual Summit — “Mastering the Practice of Law.”
The 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. event is a free half-day conference where attendees may select from 11 different CLE options to attend throughout the day.
The YLD’s first Virtual Summit in November drew almost 1,000 lawyers.
YLD President Anisha Patel said the CLE topics cover a range of practice areas and issues, with almost all CLEs being presented by a Section of The Florida Bar.
“This year, to coincide with the YLD’s theme of ‘Professionalism in Practice,’ we have created programs and initiatives to ensure young lawyers are given the tools, education, and resources they need to exhibit the highest standards of professionalism and excel in their legal careers,” Patel said. “It is also important for the YLD to continue its efforts to collaborate with the many sections of The Florida Bar, so that young lawyers have the opportunity to get involved and take advantage of the many benefits that section membership offers. The YLD is grateful for the support of so many Florida Bar sections this year, including at the last Virtual Summit.”
“It is incredibly exciting to see the enthusiasm that surrounded the first virtual summit as it was unprecedented that the YLD was able to provide over 30 free CLEs for lawyers of all ages and experience levels (and law students),” Co-Chair Tiffany Simone Hilton said. “I am equally as excited for the second virtual summit because we are continuing to bring exciting content and resources to our membership, all for free.”
“Hilton said lawyers will be able to walk away from this summit more knowledgeable in several practice areas than they were when they registered.
“Additionally, it is exciting to partner with our Florida Bar sections more this summit as we value the collaboration and knowledge that will be gained,” she said.
Co-Chair Warren Chin said the topics covered provide something for every type of young lawyer and “will help enhance their real-world practical skills.”
