New social place for discussion, conversation
Voluntary bar leaders now have a place for group communication and sharing common interests and expressing opinions. Beginning June 1, voluntary bar presidents, other officers, former presidents and executive directors of local, specialty and related bar associations in Florida can join the Voluntary Bar Leaders Facebook Group. Peer-to-peer conversations will be the focus of the forum to discuss leadership, operations, membership, diversity, health and wellness and other association experiences or challenges.
“This discussion board comes at a critical time for voluntary bars,” says Vivian Hodz, chair of the Voluntary Bar Liaison Committee. “We learned from our town halls that leaders are seeking a place where they can openly discuss association programs, finances, engagement, sponsorship and other important issues. We hope this forum gives all size associations a chance to learn from each other and borrow ideas that are successful in the voluntary bar world.”
Each member of the group must answer questions agreeing to the terms of the group. All approved members must follow Florida Bar general social media policies. Once approved, the invite will show up in the participants Facebook notification box and you can accept and begin to engage with other voluntary bar leaders.
If you are an officer, former president or executive director, please use this link to submit your request to join the voluntary bar leaders Facebook Group. Immediate access to the group will be provided upon approval.
