As part of The Florida Bar celebration of #WomensHistoryMonth, we were honored to sit down with former Florida Supreme Court Justice Peggy Quince for our latest “On the Docket with Dori” episode with Florida Bar President Dori Foster-Morales. Justice Quince was the first African American woman to serve as a Florida Supreme Court justice. She was appointed to the court in 1998, serving until her mandatory retirement in 2019. She served as Chief Justice from 2008-2010. In this episode, Justice Quince explains what Women’s History Month means to her, and why the month represents an important opportunity that goes beyond celebrating women. She also shares her advice to women pursuing leadership roles in the legal profession, as well as a health and wellness tip that both she and former First Lady Michelle Obama follow.
