On Feb. 2, the Orange County Bar Association received the American Bar Association Law Day 2017 Outstanding Activity Award for Best Student Program at the ABA’s Midyear Meeting in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The OCBA’s program was singled out for its “engaging programming for students, including the mock trials, judge shadowing, teach-ins, speech contest, 5k medal design, and the Girl Scouts involvement in the naturalization ceremony,”  noted Frank Valadez, director of the ABA’s Division for Public Education.

OCBA’s 2017 Law Week co-chairs, C. Andrew Roy, Esq., and Jessica A. Travis, Esq., accepted the award from Ruthie Ashley of California Law, Inc., on behalf of the ABA board of delegates.
